Why is Earth Hour not celebrated on Earth Day?

I just thought it would be more meaningful and appropriate. Turning your lights off for one hour is the highlight of Earth Day.

  4. That actually already occurred on March 29th- it was called Earth Hour and involved turning the lights off for an hour at 8:30 pm.

  5. Earth Hour and Earth Day are two fundamentally different events,so that’s why the two can’t be merged.
